For a number of years I have run the Newton Solney Life Drawing Group which meets Thursdays. I regard life drawing as an essential discipline for all my other work. It teaches one the difference between looking and seeing. It is about how to observe. Opportunities to exhibit life drawings are rare but in 2016, six of us, Royal Birmingham Society Artists, (sculptors, painters and draughtspersons) held two shows exploring the human form, one at the RBSA and another in the Granary Gallery, Weston Park.
